The Harrisburg Senators rallied for a 5-2 win over the Akron RubberDucks Wednesday night thanks to a grand slam by Israel Pineda. Harrisburg loaded the bases with no outs in the seventh on a single, double, and walked, setting the stage for Pineda. Alex Troop pitched 6.2 strong innings to earn his fifth win.

Troop faced 29 batters in 6.2 innings allowing six hits and walking three. The only runs came in the fourth inning on a two-out, two-run double. Troop left the game with two on and two out in the seventh, turning the game over to Reid Schaller. Schaller ended the frame with a fly ball, then pitched a scoreless eighth. Zach Brzycky pitched a perfect ninth to earn his sixth save.

Jack Dunn was the only Senator to have two hits. Offensively the Sens went down in order six times in nine innings but exploded for five in the seventh. Gilbert Lara scored the fifth run on a double play off the bat.

The strong starting pitching since the four-day break continued Wednesday night. The Senators' starters ERA since the break is under 2.25. The grand slam by Pineda was the Harrisburg Senators sixth on the season, second in as many games, and fifth since June 25 when Gilbert Lara hit a ninth-inning grand slam at Canal Park.
