Nationals to call up LHP Mitchell Parker and will bring Catcher Drew Millas along with him.
After dropping this afternoon’s game against the Oakland A’s, X was a buzz with some moves that might be coming as early as tonight or tomorrow, as the team is set to face the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Manager Dave Martinez, in his postgame news conference, confirmed an earlier report from Grant Paulsen of 106.7 The Fan that when the Nationals kick off a three-game series to end their current West Coast trip, Washington Nationals pitching prospect LHP Mitchell Parker, who was the Washington Nationals’ fifth-round pick in 2020, will be making his major league debut tomorrow night when the Nationals face the Los Angeles Dodgers.
So far this year, in his one game with the Rochester Red Wings, Parker has pitched four innings, giving up only one run on one hit. He didn’t get the win or loss that game on April 6th against the Lehigh Valley IronPigs.
Last year, Parker started the season with the Harrisburg Senators and was promoted to the Rochester Red Wings on September 13, 2023. He finished the 2023 season with a win-loss record of 9-7 and a 4.72 ERA. He appeared in 28 games and pitched a total of 124.0 innings.

Drew Millas to return to the Washington Nationals?
According to TalkNats, Catcher Drew Millas might return to the big leagues as catcher Kiebert Ruiz remains sick. Manager Davey Martinez updated reporters after the Nationals game with the latest news about catcher Keibert Ruiz.
Millas was already with the team in the early stages of their West Coast swing when the Nationals faced the San Francisco Giants on April 10th. Millas went 1-3 in that game with a stolen base and zero strikeouts. His major league batting average is .333. Millas seems to be shuttling between Buffalo and the West Coast, as the Rochester Red Wings just finished their own weekend series. Over the weekend, appeared in two games and went 1-5 with a double.
