Quick Notes: Davey Martinez on Stephen Strasburg: "feels a little bit better" but isn't going to throw anytime soon
Davey Martinez in his pregame press conference today, mentioned that the 2019 World Series MVP feels a little bit better however, isn't going to throw anytime soon.
Well, one of the things that the Washington Nationals need to figure out this offseason is what to do with Stephen Strasburg. Strasburg hasn't pitched in Nationals Park since well, a long time, and while, Strasburg hasn't been officially sidelined for the rest of the season, it looks like there isn't enough time left in the season for Strasburg to return.
Davey Martinez in his pregame press conference today, mentioned that the 2019 World Series MVP "feels a little bit better" however, isn't going to throw anytime soon. While Martinez wouldn't rule out Strasburg returning this season yet, Martinez went on to say: "if you do the math for him to come back, he’s gonna need a while."

Stephen Strasburg was activated from the IL on June 9, 2022, and made one start before returning to the IL five days later with a stress reaction in the ribs. On July 14, Strasburg was transferred to the 60-day IL.
Strasburg did appear in Fredericksburg this season for two rehab starts and one for the Rochester Red Wings.
