Worcester, MA - The Rochester Red Wings dropped game four of the six-game set and their third straight to the Worcester Red Sox Friday night, 9-3...LF Josh Palacios and 1B John Nogowski picked up multiple hits in the loss, doubling in the process.

Nogowski picked up two RBI during his multi-hit performance, marking his third multi-RBI game with the Wings. Rochester used five relievers after RHP Franklyn Kilome went 3.2 innings, allowing six earned on four walks and five hits while striking out eight. Each of the Wings' five relief pitchers recorded exactly one strikeout in their outings.

Rochester Red Wings Notes

Rehabbing RHP Erick Fedde made his first rehab appearance with Rochester Wednesday afternoon after being sent on the Injured List on 7/31 (Washington)...the Las Vegas-native worked four scoreless innings surrendering three hits while striking out four in the loss. This was his first appearance at the Triple-A level since July 2, 2019, with Fresno, and first scoreless Triple-A outing since April 20, 2018, with Syracuse.

3B Jake Alu logged one hit in his three at-bats yesterday, registering an RBI on a single...the run driven in last night marks his third straight game with one and an RBI in six of his last seven games (16 total). In his last seven games (dating back to 8/10), the Boston College alum has 10 RBI, leading the club and ranking second in the International league over that span.

Rochester Red Wings pitchers recorded their second straight game without allowing a homer. The Red Wings haven't allowed a homer in 4 of their last five games. In total, Rochester pitchers allowed one single earned run in back-to-back games for the first time all season

Cade Cavalli Updates

The Red Wings will send RHP Cade Cavalli, coming off his best start of the year, to the mound, hoping to snap their short three-game skid.

The Oklahoma-native is coming off an outing in which he set a season-high for Wings pitchers (most since becoming Nationals affiliate) with 11 strikeouts on 8/13, and the most since Lewis Thorpe had 12 on April 23, 2019, and also tied his career high with seven innings pitched (4x, all this season). Additionally, over his past five starts dating back to 7/12, he posts a 1-1 record with a 1.82 ERA (24.2 IP), with 28 punch-outs and nine walks. Cavalli has allowed just five earned runs since June 1. He has a 4-0 record with a 0.68 ERA in four starts on Saturday this season (28 SO, 8 BB).
