Not a bad way to end a trip to San Francisco with a curly W in the books. The Nationals quickly jumped out of the top of the first inning by putting up five runs. Runs for the Nationals in the top first included a balk and an RBI single for Lucius Fox. Fox got his first MLB hit and first RBI driving in Keibert Ruiz in the five-run top of first.

Gray who made the start for the Nationals went six scoreless innings for the Nationals and didn't give up a run. The Nationals now head to Colorado to face the Rockies and then head to LA before coming home to face the New York Mets on May 10th.

The Nationals are in last place in the NL East with a record of 7-12.
