Daily Report From Rochester: Despite two home runs from catcher C.J. Stubbs and a late rally attempt in the ninth, the Rochester Red Wings fell 5–3 to the Memphis Redbirds on Saturday night.
Stubbs launched solo homers in the fifth and ninth innings, accounting for all three of Rochester’s runs. The Red Wings mounted a comeback in the final frame after J.T. Arruda legged out an infield single and Stubbs followed with his second blast of the night, trimming the deficit to two. Rochester added another hit in the inning but ultimately fell short.
Memphis built an early lead, scoring in each of the first two innings. A leadoff walk and an RBI double from Matt Koperniak got the Redbirds on the board in the first, and a two-run homer from Andy Yerzy in the second made it 3–0. Blaze Jordan added a two-out, two-run double in the fourth to extend Memphis’s lead to 5–0.
Riley Cornelio started for Rochester, allowing five runs on six hits and five walks across 3.2 innings while striking out six.
In addition to Stubbs’ power display, José Tena extended his on-base streak to 20 games with a first-inning walk and a ninth-inning double. Jackson Cluff and Nick Schnell also chipped in with multi-hit efforts, each recording a double.
The Red Wings will look to earn a series split in Sunday’s finale. First pitch is scheduled for 2:05 p.m., with Bryce Conley set to start for Rochester.

Daily Report From Harrisburg:
BOWIE, MD — The Harrisburg Senators mounted a dramatic comeback with a three-run eighth inning, but the Chesapeake Baysox answered in the ninth with a walk-off sacrifice fly to hand Harrisburg a 4–3 loss Saturday night.
The Senators entered the eighth inning trailing 3–0 but capitalized on control issues from Chesapeake’s bullpen. A wild pitch plated the first Harrisburg run before Seaver King and Kevin Made delivered back-to-back sacrifice flies to tie the game.
However, the momentum swung back in the ninth. Griff O’Ferrall led off with a single, and two walks loaded the bases for Chesapeake. Carter Young then lifted a sacrifice fly to center, scoring the winning run and ending the game.
Chesapeake’s offense had struck first in the third inning on a three-run home run by Austin Overn, while Baysox starter Juaron Watts-Brown carried a no-hitter through 5.2 innings, keeping Harrisburg off balance for most of the night.
Reliever Junior Santos took the loss for Harrisburg.
The Senators will look to bounce back in the series finale on Sunday. Lefty Jake Bennett will get the assignment for Harrisburg against Blake Money. The game is scheduled for 1:05 p.m. EDT.

Daily Report From Wilmington:
WILMINGTON, DE — The Wilmington Blue Rocks were defeated by the Aberdeen IronBirds in a 7–2 loss Saturday night.
Following a weather delay of nearly two hours, Wilmington struck first. T.J. White drove in Elijah Nunez with an RBI single in the bottom of the first to give the Blue Rocks a quick 1–0 lead.
Aberdeen quickly answered with an RBI single from Maikol Hernandez in the second, tying the game at one. The real damage came in the fifth inning when the IronBirds erupted for four runs, highlighted by a two-RBI triple from Vance Honeycutt and run-scoring hits from Colin Tuft and Anderson De Los Santos.
Wilmington briefly chipped away at the deficit in the seventh with an RBI double from Jeremy De La Rosa to make it 5–2, but Aberdeen responded immediately again in the eighth with two sacrifice flies, pushing the lead to 7–2 and sealing the win.
Josh Randall took the loss for Wilmington, giving up nine hits and five runs across six innings, while Aberdeen’s Yeiber Cartaya limited the Blue Rocks to one run despite six walks over four innings. Wilmington recorded nine hits but went just 4-for-18 with runners in scoring position.

Daily Report From Fredericksburg:
FREDERICKSBURG, VA — With a dominant 5–0 shutout of the Carolina Mudcats on Saturday night at Virginia Credit Union Stadium, the Fredericksburg Nationals secured a winning record for the 2025 season.
Right-hander R.J. Sales led the charge with five scoreless innings in his sixth start since the All-Star break. Sales struck out eight batters, one shy of his career high, and recorded at least one strikeout in every inning, including striking out the side in the third.
The Fred-Nats took an early lead in the second inning. After two quick outs, Luke Dickerson drew a walk and Angel Feliz followed with a two-run homer into the visitors’ bullpen in right field, giving Fredericksburg a 2–0 advantage.
They added three more runs in the fifth inning, capitalizing on a Mudcats error and an RBI single from Brenner Cox. Despite collecting only three total hits, the FredNats made them count.
The bullpen took over from there, with four relievers combining to preserve the shutout and close out the win.
The victory guarantees that the FredNats will finish the regular season above .500 and enter the 2025 Carolina League Playoffs with momentum.
The Fred-Nats end the regular season Sunday afternoon. Brayan Romero will pitch for the Fred-Nats against Carolina’s Carlos Carra. First pitch is scheduled for 1:35 p.m. EDT.
