(Jupiter, FL )—Following a day off yesterday, the Washington Nationals resumed Spring Training this afternoon, securing a 9-3 victory against the Miami Marlins. The Nationals' record now stands at 6-4, boasting a 4-1 away record to launch their Spring Training.

Left-handed pitcher Patrick Corbin continued his impressive performance in Spring Training, clinching the win this afternoon. Corbin pitched four innings, conceding two runs on two hits, striking out two, and issuing no walks to Miami Marlins batters. His record has improved to 2-1, accompanied by an ERA of 4.15 and 10 strikeouts.

In the top of the third inning, Luis García Jr. hit his first home run of Spring Training, a 370-foot blast to right center, bringing home Dylan Crews. Crews also hit his first home run of Spring Training to center, covering a distance of 393 feet and driving in Keibert Ruiz in the top of the fourth.

Center fielder Victor Robles had an outstanding performance, going 2-2 and contributing a 401-foot home run to center in the top of the third.

The Washington Nationals' starting catcher, Keibert Ruiz, played a pivotal role this afternoon with an RBI double to center. The double brought James Wood home in the top of the fifth, elevating the team's lead to 6-2.

Earlier in the morning, just before game time, reports circulated that the Nationals had added another addition to their already crowded outfield by signing veteran outfielder Eddie Rosario to a minor-league contract. Reports indicate that Rosario's contract includes a $2 million guarantee; if he secures a spot on the major league roster, he could earn up to $4 million with incentives.
