Story Line #1: Non-Roster Invitees
In mid-January, the Nationals unveiled a roster of non-roster invitees to Spring Training Camp, featuring some of the team's most promising prospects. While securing an invitation to the big league camp doesn't guarantee a spot on the major league team by the end of spring, it does signal progress and a positive direction for these prospects. It will be fascinating to witness the performances of notable players such as Dylan Crews (ranked second by The Nats Report), Brady House (ranked fourth), and James Wood (ranked first) as they face major league pitching.
Joining these top Nationals prospects are infield talents Trey Lipscomb and Darren Baker, along with catcher Brady Lindsly. Furthermore, the Nationals extended invitations to four players with recent major-league experience who signed minor-league contracts: outfielder Travis Blankenhorn, first basemen Lewin Díaz and Juan Yepez, and left-hander Joe La Sorsa.
