MLB DRAFT COMBINE

⚾ DUGOUT DISPATCH
Yesterday marked the Start of the MLB Combine. The combine runs till Friday, and the Nats have a lot of players to look out for with the 11th pick.
📊 THE BOX SCORE:
Player Pool: 335 prospects will be at the combine (195 College players, and 140 High school prospects)
Tests: Players will take batting practice, and depending on position, players will do fielding drills, catcher pop times, or have bullpen sessions. Everyone will do the 30-yard dash, vertical jump, range-of-motion test, and grip strength test.
Potential Picks: With the 11th pick, the Nats have a ton of different potential players for them to draft. Joel Reuter of Bleacher Report and Jim Callis of MLB.com predict the Nats will draft second baseman Chris Hacopian from Texas A&M, and Kiley McDaniel of ESPN predicts the Nats will draft RHP Liam Peterson from the University of Florida.
🗣️ LOCKER ROOM LORE
When asked about the combine, former Nats president of baseball operations Mike Rizzo said, “These combines are a tryout camp type of mentality, where you're just trying to pick up little bits and pieces and final answers to questions of is this the guy you're going to pull the trigger on or not.”
