⚾️⚾️ The Morning Briefing: Nationals begin series against the Reds

Good Morning Washington Nationals Fan,

Here are the latest headlines and analyses around the Washington Nationals and Major League Baseball for today, August 4th. My name is Haden Raymer and this is your morning briefing. There wasn’t any big news yesterday, so let’s dive into the Reds game tonight.

Also my apologies for sending out the briefing with the incorrect subject line yesterday. Will be correct today!

Be sure to follow The Nats Report on Twitter for all the latest headlines and more.

Leading today’s Morning Briefing: Nats begin series against the Reds

Tonight Patrick Corbin takes the hill against RHP Graham Ashcraft and the Cincinnati Reds. The Reds lineup features the same cast of hitters that the Nats faced in their previous 4th of July matchup. Ashcraft is a groundball pitcher who tends to be a bit streaky.

You can listen to more about this series, and about the trade deadline and the latest moves on yesterday’s episode of In the Clubhouse.

The game begins tonight at 6:40 p.m. on MASN2.
