⚾️⚾️ The Morning Briefing: Nats drop series against the Phillies

Good Morning Washington Nationals Fan,

Here are the latest headlines and analyses around the Washington Nationals and Major League Baseball for today, August 11th. My name is Haden Raymer. The Nationals lost the last game of the series. Let’s talk about it.

Be sure to follow The Nats Report on Twitter for all the latest headlines and more.

Leading today’s Morning Briefing: Nats drop series to Phillies

Good news, the Nationals did record a hit today. In fact they even led early against the Phillies, taking a 1-0 lead in the sixth inning. The Phillies answered back with two in the bottom of the sixth. The Nats never had the lead after that and lost 6-2.

Your Nats Report Player of the Game is CJ Abrams. He went 2-5 with a double and a stolen base. Tonight’s game starts at 7:05 p.m. on MASN.

You can listen to our thoughts this afternoon on In the Clubhouse.

A Juan Soto Quote ⬇️

"Days like this series, we just give up. Like literally, we just give up instead of keep grinding, keep pushing. We’ve got to forget about yesterday and keep moving."
