Rochester, NY - The Rochester Red Wings secured a series win over the Buffalo Bisons in walk-off fashion this afternoon, 5-4.

The Red Wings clinched their second season series after SS Erick Mejia drew a bases-loaded walk in the bottom of the 11th inning. This marked Mejia's ninth career walk-off, the first since June 30, 2022, against Salt Lake (LAA) while playing for Triple-A Tacoma (SEA).

OF James Wood extended his on-base streak to 25 games with a two-RBI single in the bottom of the third, finishing 2-for-4 with a walk. This is the longest on-base streak in the International League this season and the longest by a Red Wings since Travis Blankenhorn reached 26 consecutive games from May 4 to June 10, 2023. Wood averages 94.6 MPH on all batted balls this season, the sixth-best among all MLB and Triple-A players (min. 100 AB). Since Wood's streak began on April 20 against Toledo, he has reached base at a .469 clip, the second-best in the IL.

RHP Adonis Medina turned in his sixth consecutive scoreless outing, pitching 1.1 hitless innings with two strikeouts and one walk. This is the longest active scoreless appearance streak by a Red Wing and Medina's second streak of at least four consecutive scoreless games this season. His 1.33 ERA (3 ER/19.0 IP) is the best on Rochester's staff (min. 10.0 IP). Medina has not allowed a run in May over 8.1 innings in six appearances.

3B Trey Lipscomb doubled in the bottom of the fourth to extend his hitting streak to six games, finishing 2-for-5 with two doubles, an RBI, and a run scored. He has hit safely in all six games with Rochester this season.
