Leading today’s Morning Briefing: MLB Postseason continues

The Phillies are up 3-2 on game six. When the Diamondbacks have won so far, it relies heavily on these close one-run games. In fact, the Phillies have outscored the Diamondbacks 25-12 so far this series. And now tonight, the Diamondbacks must win in Philadelphia against homegrown ace Aaron Nola.

The Astros and Rangers will play in game seven tonight. Game five was filled with drama with benches clearing after Bryan Abreu hit Adolis Garcia with what the league has determined as an intentional hit by pitch. While he appealed the suspension that the league handed out to him, his hearing for the appeal should begin today before game seven. There was also the dramatic go-ahead three-run home run from Jose Altuve that ended up sealing the victory for the Astros. In game six, the Rangers answered with nine runs, including an Adolis Garcia grand slam. Tonight, Max Scherzer will take on Cristian Javier in what could be one of the most exciting games of the postseason.
