Daily Report From Rochester:
JACKSONVILLE, FL — The Rochester Red Wings got back on track Friday night, securing a dominant 6-1 victory over the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp in the fourth game of their series.
A strong performance by Adrian Sampson and timely hitting from the offense helped the Red Wings take control early and never let up.
Sampson was brilliant on the mound, tossing 5.0 scoreless innings while allowing just three hits and three walks. The right-hander struck out one batter, keeping Jacksonville's offense at bay throughout his outing.
Rochester wasted no time getting on the board, striking in the second inning. Andrew Pinckney led off with a single, swiped two bases, and set the table for Nasim Nuñez, who ripped a two-run double to right field, giving the Red Wings an early 2-0 lead.
The offense added to its lead in the fourth inning, starting with back-to-back two-out singles from Francisco Mejía and Nuñez. After Nuñez stole his 35th base of the season, Christian Franklin followed with a clutch two-run single, pushing the Red Wings’ advantage to 4-0.
In the fifth, the Red Wings extended their lead even further. Yohandy Morales and Nick Schnell each had extra-base hits, with Schnell's triple bringing in Morales for a 5-0 advantage.
Jacksonville fought back in the seventh inning, breaking through for its first run of the game. Shane Sasaki reached on a fielding error and later scored on a single from Matthew Etzel, cutting the deficit to 5-1. But the Jumbo Shrimp couldn’t find any sustained offense, leaving the bases loaded in the eighth and failing to capitalize on a late rally.
Rochester added an insurance run in the top of the ninth. Morales drew a walk, swiped second base, and was driven in by Pinckney’s opposite-field single to extend the lead to 6-1.
Rochester will look to build on this win as they continue the series against Jacksonville on Saturday night. Riley Cornelio will take the mound for the Red Wings in the 6:35 p.m. EDT contest.

Double-A Harrisburg Senators

Daily Report From Harrisburg:
HARRISBURG, PA — The Harrisburg Senators were overwhelmed at FNB Field on Friday night, as the Altoona Curve unleashed a power surge to claim a dominant 14-3 victory.
The Curve pounded out 15 hits, including five home runs, and never allowed the Senators to mount a serious challenge.
Pittsburgh Pirates and MLB top prospect Konnor Griffin stole the spotlight with a monster performance, going 3-for-5 with two home runs and seven RBIs. His two long balls were a major part of Altoona’s offensive onslaught. Nick Cimillo also had a career night, collecting five hits, including a home run, double, and triple, while Esmerlyn Valdez added a pair of homers to bury the Senators further.
Despite the onslaught, Harrisburg wasn’t without highlights. Sam Brown contributed with a double and a triple, while the red-hot Cayden Wallace and Maxwell Romero Jr. each drove in runs. However, the Senators’ seven-hit effort was overshadowed by Altoona’s relentless attack.
Both teams will retake the field on Saturday night. Jarlin Susana will toe the rubber for the Sens against lefty Dominic Perachi. First pitch is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. EDT.

Daily Report From Wilmington:
GREENSBORO, NC — In a tight battle at First National Bank Field, the Wilmington Blue Rocks edged out the Greensboro Grasshoppers 2-1, with a key ninth-inning single from Donta' Williams proving to be the difference.
The game remained scoreless until the top of the fourth, when Juan Yepez put Wilmington on the board with a solo homer to left field, his third of the season. The Blue Rocks held a 1-0 lead going into the bottom of the inning.
Greensboro answered in the bottom of the fourth. Lonnie White Jr. lined a single to left field, scoring Sammy Stafura from second base and tying the game 1-1. Jared Jones also advanced to second on the play, but the Grasshoppers were unable to capitalize further as the inning ended.
The score remained deadlocked until the top of the ninth when Donta' Williams came through with a clutch two-out single to center field, bringing in Cortland Lawson to give Wilmington a 2-1 lead.
Despite a solid pitching effort from both sides, the Grasshoppers could not muster a response in the bottom of the ninth, and Wilmington held on for the victory.
The series continues Saturday night. Davian Garcia will go for the Rocks against Greensboro’s Hung-Leng Chang. First pitch is slated for 6:30 p.m. EDT.

Daily Report From Fredericksburg:
LYNCHBURG, VA — In a thrilling late-game comeback, the Fredericksburg Nationals scored three runs in the final three innings to defeat the Lynchburg Hillcats on Friday night at Bank of the James Stadium.
The victory propelled the FredNats back into sole possession of first place in the Carolina League's North Division.
Lynchburg's starting pitcher, Melkis Hernandez, was nearly untouchable through six innings, holding Fredericksburg to just two hits and striking out seven while facing only one over the minimum.
Fredericksburg starter Luke Johnson was equally impressive, throwing six scoreless innings and allowing just one run. Johnson, coming off a stellar seven-inning performance against Fayetteville, ran into trouble in the sixth when Lynchburg strung together three consecutive two-out hits to take a 1-0 lead. However, Johnson managed to limit the damage and finished his outing with five strikeouts.
The Fred-Nats finally broke through in the seventh. After Nick Hollifield drew a leadoff walk, Ethan Petry followed with a single, and Luke Dickerson loaded the bases. With two outs, Eli Willits delivered a clutch RBI single to right field, tying the game at 1-1. Petry then came home on a wild pitch to give Fredericksburg a 2-1 lead.
Riley Maddox and Tucker Biven shut down Lynchburg's offense in the final two innings, while Fredericksburg added an insurance run in the ninth.
Fredericksburg will look to keep it going Saturday, when they hand the ball to Bryan Polanco in a 6:30 p.m. EDT start against Lynchburg.
