Daily Report From Rochester:
MEMPHIS, TN — The Rochester Red Wings came up just short in a high-scoring series finale Sunday afternoon, falling 12–11 to the Memphis Redbirds at AutoZone Park.
Despite a three-hit, five-RBI performance from catcher Francisco Mejía, including a go-ahead three-run homer in the seventh, Rochester was unable to hold multiple leads in a back-and-forth contest.
The Red Wings built an early 7–0 advantage behind a five-run third inning and added another run in the fifth. Jackson Cluff and Francisco Mejía sparked the offense early, while Andrew Pinckney, Trey Lipscomb, and Yohandy Morales each chipped in with multi-hit games. In total, Rochester piled up 14 hits in the series finale.
Mejía’s three-run blast in the seventh briefly gave Rochester a 10–8 lead, but the Redbirds responded with runs in each of the final three innings. Bryan Torres hit a solo homer in the eighth—his fourth RBI of the game—to bring Memphis within one, and Blaze Jordan’s RBI single capped a three-run inning that put the Redbirds in front for good, 12–11.
Rochester was set down in order in the ninth to end the game and the series.
Starter Bryce Conley allowed five runs over 4.1 innings before a carousel of Red Wings relievers attempted to hold the line. In total, six pitchers appeared for Rochester, with Julian Fernández and Ryan Loutos covering the final two innings.
With the loss, the Red Wings now return home to Rochester for their final home series of the season against the Buffalo Bisons. First pitch for Tuesday night’s opener at Innovative Field is scheduled for 6:05 p.m. EDT.

Daily Report From Harrisburg:
BOWIE, MD — The Harrisburg Senators wrapped up their road series on a high note Sunday afternoon, defeating the Chesapeake Baysox 6–3 at Prince George’s Stadium. Jake Bennett tossed five shutout innings to notch his first win of the season, and the Senators' offense delivered in key moments to secure the victory.
Carlos De La Cruz led the way at the plate with a two-run double in the fifth inning, part of a three-run frame that helped Harrisburg pull away. Cayden Wallace added an RBI single in the fifth and came through again in the ninth with a clutch insurance run to stretch the lead. In total, the Senators tallied 13 hits and drew seven walks against Baysox pitching.
Johnathon Thomas collected two hits, drove in a run, and stole his 18th base of the year, while Phillip Glasser added a hit, an RBI, and two stolen bases to reach 30 on the season.
Bennett was efficient and effective in his outing, scattering three hits and striking out three across five scoreless frames. Chesapeake’s Creed Willems put the Baysox on the board with a solo home run in the sixth, and the home team threatened with two runs in the eighth to cut the deficit to 5–3.
Samuel Vasquez came on in relief and shut the door, retiring the final four batters to earn his first save of the season and preserve the Senators’ win.
Harrisburg heads home this week to begin a six-game set with the Akron RubberDucks. Game one is set for Tuesday, September 9, at 6:30 p.m. EDT.

High-A Wilmington Blue Rocks

Daily Report From Wilmington:
WILMINGTON, DE — The Wilmington Blue Rocks closed out their 2025 season with a 4–1 loss to the Aberdeen IronBirds on Sunday afternoon, finishing 54–76 overall.
Wilmington struck first in the opening frame, capitalizing on Jared McKenzie’s hustle. After a leadoff single, McKenzie stole second and came around to score on a pair of throwing errors—first by Aberdeen pitcher Chase Allsup on a pickoff attempt, and then by the centerfielder.
Aberdeen quickly responded in the second inning, loading the bases with no outs on a hit-by-pitch, a walk, a double steal, and another free pass. Blue Rocks starter Josiah Gray, on a rehab assignment, exited after recording just one out on a pop fly. Reliever Peyton Glavine entered and impressively escaped the jam with two quick infield pop-ups to preserve the early lead.
Aberdeen broke through in the third inning. After back-to-back singles from Nate George and Vance Honeycutt, Wilmington turned a double play, but Anderson De Los Santos and Elis Cuevas delivered consecutive RBI singles to put the IronBirds ahead 2–1.
The IronBirds added insurance in the eighth when Ryan Stafford scored following an overthrow to first base by reliever Euri Montero. Aberdeen later tacked on a fourth run to seal the win.

Daily Report From Fredericksburg:
FREDERICKSBURG, VA — The Fredericksburg Nationals wrapped up their 2025 regular season on Sunday with a 6–3 loss to the Carolina Mudcats at Virginia Credit Union Stadium.
The Fred-Nats now turn their attention to the Carolina League Playoffs, where they’ll face the Lynchburg Hillcats in the North Division series beginning Tuesday at home.
Brayan Romero made his second start of the week for Fredericksburg and delivered a stronger opening than his previous outing, holding Carolina scoreless through three innings. However, the Mudcats broke through in the fourth with a two-out rally. A walk and double set up Yannic Walther’s two-RBI single, putting Carolina ahead 2–0.
Fredericksburg responded in the bottom of the fourth. Jorgelys Mota doubled and later scored on a throwing error, cutting the deficit to 2–1. But the Mudcats extended their lead with four runs across the fifth and sixth innings against Romero and reliever Angel Roman, taking a 6–1 lead in what was the final game in Carolina’s 35-year franchise history.
The Fred-Nats picked up hits in each of the final three innings, including a triple from Eli Willits, but couldn’t mount a full comeback. Carlos Carra earned the win for the Mudcats, while Romero took the loss. José Nova closed the door for his fifth save.
With the regular season concluded, Fredericksburg opens the best-of-three divisional series against Lynchburg on Tuesday at 6:35 p.m. EDT, as the team begins its push to defend the Carolina League title.
