Leading today’s Morning Briefing: Nationals lose 2-0 to the Pittsburgh Pirates
Josiah Gray was dominant yesterday. He threw 6.1 innings while striking out 10. He allowed two runs, both from solo home runs. He did not walk a single batter. Unfortunately for Gray, the Nationals’ offense could only muster two hits, a first-pitch single from CJ Abrams and a single in the third inning from Jake Alu. These types of losses happen, and they may be common this weekend as the Nationals head to Milwaukee where they will face two of the hottest pitchers in baseball, Brandon Woodruff and Corbin Burnes.
Josiah Gray is the Nats Report Player of the Game. The next game is tonight at 8:10 p.m. on MASN.
